I still got mine with glow in the dark pads🙏💯
All I wanted to know is if it has its own sounds. I havent seen anyone play them yet!
oh nooooo this video is 2 years old now 🥺
I used to make pause tapes back in the day i didn't know it was a actually a technique til recently others actually used
That ADDA is fantastic! Is the equivalent to the Digi 888
I'm going to look into this very soon but as of right now: Don't tha SP1200 do tha same thing, if not more ? Again, I am gong to look into this but once you put tha sounds into either one of these machines, it's tha buttons and faders that make all of tha magic happen ( AFTER ) you run sounds through these machines, right. Plus I always wondered why I never really heard a kick and a snare by itself, it was stolen / sampled, lol.
why butchering Jean Michel Jarre name?
James brown the godfather of soul, basically said use technology creatively… people always mitching about the tech. Seems like they have fallen out of love with making music for regurgitating what is trending. Learn your instruments or gear , so that you are free to make music and not a slave to technology you don’t utilise.
May Yahweh bless you brother we love you and thank you for the wonderful video
I am pleased with the music and Iam old-school wu tang era. I enjoy being able to hear your random guy or girls music who are just pumping tracks out of their bedroom .I think it's dope that some of my favorite music I listen to comes from people you have never heard of.
Came here from Christian henson and daniel pemberton talking about it
TF? Who WANTED this?
To many people following the same youtube tutorials😂 Not to mention all the secrets that have just been given away
My friend, do a search and Neil Tennant, the singer of Pet Shop Boys said that he likes Taylor Swift but he does not get why is she famous? Where are her hit songs? Where is her "Billie Jean"? And is true, if Taylor Swift gains 20 pounds she is out. She is there because of her body, she is a nice stripper. Those legs, that belly... All this problem started in the 90s when Clinton allowed companies to purchase radio stations. Your local station used to run local bands, not anymore. There used to be festivals everywhere, not anymore. Today "Sony Entertainment" has a share of stations run by a computer and from their headquarters, they promote whoever they want. The DJ today at those stations is just a clown. On the other hand, music companies, instruments and software have been "serviceable", that means: creating products to make people create they are creating music. So, music today is not as bad but no as good. There are no musicians anymore. People are just creating noise and everything sounds the same.... like Taylor Swift. The problem is when you try to teach something to a GenZ and they spit you on the face. Or when Rpland is hiring a crackhead lesbian as "Product Manager" just to try to fit in... back in my day Roland used to hire Kenny G, I hate Kenny G but he was good and talented. On the other hand we are in the wear of the WOKE and DEI... you need to be gay, transgender, lesbian or any variation of that garbage to be accepted, is not because of your talent, brightness and wisdom. Is because the government gives big tax exceptions if you work with that human scum. So... here is the result... ineptitude, mediocracy. That is why in human history those people are always ditched on a side, is for a reason.
Mpk bro even though it's not at MPC
Ain't hard to tell...
"In the future we'll be samplng the samples of the samples we sampled" - Prince
Even in the hip-hop, rap game, I mean none of those people ever look back and say some let you know Pharcyde was a great band
ruclips.net/p/PL0KE5mAiDs-vLhNDLXDdwcXWhm76D1MF1&si=_0fByRkNxE0TZTe_
It is your fault these people and none of you were really into different music. Here let me show you.
Ok so right now i run my 8outs from my 5000 to a studiolive 16 mixer then out to my antelope audio discrete 8. An ADAT would definitely beef up my sound though. I figured with the compressor and eq in the mixer along with it's limiter i could make fine adjustments then run it through the interface and track it out from there. antelope audio has some really great converters.
This whole technology is killing music is a bit overexaggerating , look at jokas studios back in the day . Shit used to look like something out a spaceship , its not the gear its the person , if u were born to do construction and u dont even care for music like that , but buy a mpc 3000 for the heck of it your gonna look pretty silly .
I love NAS Music , Not lil Nas x at all..
You real asf!
Dont worry brotha you can always listen to me lol. I got the medicine for ya ears even my homies that produce , there on point too. Its about being in your own world. Its been shitty music forever . But i cant lie i looked at Billboard magazine from 2000, and diverse and nostalgia aint the word. Shiit seem like everyone had a hit . Who let the Dogs out was killin it . We used to be able to hVe fun and be different now its like u gotta go completely independent to keep your original vibes , u see what they did to Kodak black , dude sound like used to be with Pro Era , now i cant hardly understand his ass lol
Well one thing i can say i dont let peoples views dictate how i feel anymore so ill say this . I can still hum my first piano sequence note for note , when id hear certain tunes or melodies , it would hit me like a ton of bricks , J dilla used to have me sobbing in the car ect. I dont care what anyone says but I AM the one of last of dying breed . And im so humble i swear i dont like talking big i just let my listeners say what they say , and ive heard all sorts of kind things on how it sounds and descriptive it is , but i quit tryna get signed , the industry itself can kiss my ass but i love music so much i still do it and only sold about 4 beats and beat tape , cuz im not in it for the money , i love to see people being inspired. I mean you can hardly go to a concert now and feel satisfied because its nothing but a strip club or kick back on stage, todays musical demographic is not relative to todays crippled people, making music that to me sounds like its making fun of people for not spending big and shaking your ass , when its a lot of introverts who just wanna chill. Every song on the radio is compressed to high heaven , every voice sounds like a carbon copy of T pain and i swear with the exception of a few things hear and there i find on my own , my era of great music 2014 on back . People forget when Kendrick was first getting a bit popular it was so many dope young artists that made relative Quality hip hop , Big Krit , Mac Miller , Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Badass ect . Now that theyre doing there thing, they passed the torch and these new artists have dropped it. But i sound NOTHING like todays crap and i wont even try . Anybody can throw some 808s and hats on some shit .
music is too good and this is the problem.
Word
when music is no longer played by real live musicians , it's no longer music. simple formula. what you're confusing is marketing with music forms. Maybe not intentionally confusing but choosing samples from people who put their music on record, is not music, it's theft repurposed. People like Bob James were smart as they knew they could stay relevant in the public mind and make a profit while allowing people to sample their works but it does nothing to progress music to re-tread the tires with generic fill. I bought heavily into the marketing of rap and electronic in my teens but I clearly understand the difference to what music on the records they sampled from, and what the modern result is - one is timeless classics the other robotic landfill limited time hangout party sounds.
The more options we get the less creative we become.
well, according to real musicians: Drum Machines have no soul and almost every modern track has a drum machine being used somewhere.
drum machines have no soul -- that's why people have to program it in.
Nothing's getting "taken away." If you want to do things the hard way, you still can. It's easier to produce sh*tty low-effort music now than it was before, and the existing corporate ghouls who have everybody convinced they are the only distribution mechanism are more than happy to take your money and add music to the pile. Technology is reducing the signal to noise ratio for audible content being produced, but that means we need more labels to serve as editors. The current centralization of the industry doesn't scale; it made some sense when production was difficult, and A&R actually recognized and developed talent, but that seems rare these days.
The most visited department at the music store is the DJ department.
I have the x32 rack, x32 big counsel, x touch with extender along with other Behringer gear. I have a lot of expensive gear also, however I have never had any problems from Behringer. All the channels not to mention Dante which I have.
I've been finding amazing bands and songs recently made. They are as wonderful as older musics I listened. It requires a lot of time to find those new bands and songs. I think the problem is that we have so many new songs released all the time, combined with algorithms that give us the music that are popular and not necessary a music for the listener that we get tired of searching. I'm happy with technology because it allows me to create my own music. However, I still study music theory, don't try to release song without a feeling about it, without putting my art on it. I don't want to be famous, I love music so much in a point that I want to create my own. It wouldn't be possible to be that without that technology that make all this accessible.
The problem of our generation is social media, last one was TV (still is for lot of past 40+ yo), last before was Radio(still is for lot of 60+yo), etc etc
So the problem is the consumer that been cooked by society not the music, the music adapt to people and when It's not you got timeless hits.
It takes a bunch of people to make truly awesome music. From the musicians to the engineering and mixing, even though one person can theoretically produce everything themselves with today's technology, it will not be done well because one person cannot do everything well. It takes years to learn about audio engineering, sorry a plug-in ain't going to do it all for you, your music will lack the depth that a human being who has practiced for years and puts their heart and soul into the music. Sequencer based music is also part of the problem as it lacks the imperfections of human timing which makes it sound stale, boring and repetitive. Trap music.
music is in a beautiful place. technology is allowing for more people to participate and no matter the state of play the real artists will always shine. if he or she has put the effort in, consistency is part of the result and the art will grow.
People need to find real life inspiration, stories, emotions, outside of the grid and the creative mirrored reflection reflecting on itself via social media.
Shoutout to all the industry brown nosers that were in a full panic when hh didn't have a no. 1 song on the charts for a min while me and the rest of my peeps who put the art and respect before money were just straight chillin.
Nowadays Djs and producers love djing and producing, they dont love MUSIC!!
Man never thought about it like that tbh. I think they don’t even love dj’ing and producing, I think they love the thought of being a dj or a producer.
I don't think that technology in the most general sense is hurting the creative and emotional value of music. In a lot of ways, technology makes creating music easier and more accessible to a wider variety of income levels and the like. The problem is more likely the way the relationship between audience and musician/artist has changed. Back in the day, the audience was much more likely to know and follow specific artists since buying entire albums was the most practical way to own music. Additionally. You had MTV/VH1 and the various radio stations shining a spotlight on artists/bands in a very direct way. The audience was able to form a relationship with the music they listened to and were more likely to spread that enthusiasm to those around them. Now things are different. You have various music streaming services putting more emphasis on influencer/algorithm driven playlisting. You have Spotify training audiences to be "Lean back listeners". Additionally. You have more focus on TikTok style short-form song content that is more about internet fads than just basic music listening. All those elements combined creates an environment where listeners are trained not to care and opportunistic "producers" (people who put some songs together with various paid chord packs and midi packs) flood the market with low-effort content in hopes of ending up on popular playlists. Our relationship to music is being poisoned and the music scene is reacting to the changing conditions in a rather sad, unfortunate way. Not really sure there is a solution. Hopefully things get better.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Currently,, there are no obstacles demanding creative solutions, ergo, *anyone* with a laptop/cellphone can create "music". Technology has transcended talent.
I hope it gets better.
@@DyReckProductions Me too, friend, me too! Also ,I forgot to mention that I agree that the problem is us... we gotta start putting more effort and soul into our art instead of using technology as an easy crutch.
The commercialization of rap music killed the music industry! Record companies realized they could exploit rappers and make millions of dollars with a 50k production budget; you certainly couldn't do that with a full band backup singers etc.
Wow thats Crazy!
Most never got up on the cliff to fall off. dancers who make records. images with beat-music behind them. sad to me. and nobody can change my view.
Crazy sad.
Midi chord packs, loops, and AI generated melodies all could perhaps make people lazy and less creative.
If not used right Definitely.
